Computational Fluid Dynamics Model of Wells Turbine for Oscillating Water Column System: A Review

Abstract Wells turbine is an important component in the oscillating water column (OWC) system. Thus, many researchers tend to improve performance via experiment or computational fluid dynamics (CFD) simulation, which cheaper. As CFD method becomes more popular, lack of evidence support parameters used during simulation a big issue. This paper aims review models applied for OWC Journal papers from past ten years were summarized brief critique. summary, FLUENT and CFX software are mostly simulate flow problems while SST k-? turbulence model widely model. A grid independence test essential when doing simulation. In conclusion, this can show research gap reduce time selecting suitable involving turbine.
